Most films and TV programmes follow this sequence: the film or TV show start of with a happy beginning, then something happens that causes a disruption to what the audience were shown at the beginning, followed by a resolution and the happiness at the start is restored.
By showing the potential of this sequence and where it could lead in the opening, it could relate to the audience and seem far too familiar, and therefore becoming boring. In my coursework I will avoid this sequence and use a different alternative to capture the attention of the audience and intrigue them into how the film will turn out by showing them a sequence they will not be as familiar with.
