Leads narrative
Quest
Journey
Antagonist (villain):
Get in the way of the protagonist
Heroine:
Prize/reward for hero
Can be a physically thing, using a person (female)
Father:
Authority figure
Offers reward to hero (usually heroine)
Helper:
Sidekick - helps hero
Donor:
Gives something: clue/tool/some sort of power etc that helps hero complete their quest
This system of main characters will help me in producing my coursework as I know roughly what types of characters the audience could be looking for and that I definitely should show these in my opening.
